La Mecatrónica en el Desarrollo de la Industria Automotriz en México

Resumen

Importance of conducting technological research in various field of study of Mechatronics to contribute significantly to the international competitiveness of Mexican automotive industry is described in this paper. It highlights how technologies based on Mechatronics can contribute to the technological, economic and social transformation of Mexico. In this sense, various novel applications are addressed, such as robotics in the automotive industry, autonomous aerial vehicles, as well as intelligent warehouses, 3D printing, exoskeletons, virtual reality and artificial vision. The relevance of training human resources with the skills and abilities in the development of this kind of mechatronic technologies is recognized. Finally, several research trends are mentioned in the fields of study of Mechatronics to move towards the design and manufacture of various types of vehicles such as electric, hybrid, autonomous and aerial, where its broad social and economic benefits for our country are highlighted.
