Abstract
Biomedical research requires reliable, reproducible and perfectible methods, in accordance with the bioethical regulations; this has led to use of validated and biosafety biologic models. In this work, a bibliographic review was carried out in PubMed and Google (Academic) to give the reader a general description of each of the biological models used in biomedical sciences. In this article, we present the main characteristics of in silico, in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo approaches by highlighting their advantages, bioethical regulations and limitations.
