Abstract
The infection caused by the Influenza virus is a serious threat to global health because it is a very contagious viral infection, with high ease of transmission from person to person, it affects the population of any age, but the population groups most vulnerable to infection are children under 5 years of age, adults over 65, and immunosuppressed people. This disease causes epidemics annually, however, the main concern is the appearance of pandemic strains because this virus is capable of genetic variation. These variations imply that the existing vaccines become inefficient and the strains become drug-resistant to antivirals, which is why there is a need to search for new antiviral drugs and a universal vaccine.
