Abstract

The collections of plants can be consulted in the herbariums, which are the places destined for their conservation. But for a good collection, we must consider several points, first, know the type of plant with which you will work, the study site and it is essential to have at hand the necessary implements to collect the plants effectively, later they will be pressed and dried. To achieve their identification, specific keys are used for each plant group and locality. Finally, they are taken to the herbaria where they can be consulted every time a researcher or student needs to review them. Specifically, the group of bryophytes are small and fragile plants, which must be taken care of when collecting, while the pteridophytes are more rigid plants and therefore their collection is easier.
