Abstract

Developing new and better materials is an inherent human need to deploy better scientific advancement. For this, it is important to understand the performance and various applications that a material may have. As a new alternative in the study of solid-state materials, metal-organic networks have emerged based on lattice chemistry based on inorganic chemistry. This material class has shown wide versatility in design, synthesis and applications. My research group is developing applications in the adsorption of gases and contaminants in water, detection, sensors, drug dosing and catalysis. These problems in the not-too-distant future will be of great importance, and how my research group addresses them can be a useful tool to solve them.
