Comparación de la eficiencia térmica de un concentrador cilindro parabólico con distintas mezclas
Abstract
The use of solar energy is carried out through solar collectors, which convert solar radiation into electrical energy or thermal energy. The parabolic trough collector is capable of collecting solar rays and redirecting them to a focal line, where the receiving tube is located and inside, a working fluid which increases its thermal level. Water is the most used fluid, however, it has limitations that reduce the thermal efficiency of the system. For this reason, the use of the water-ethylene glycol mixture with 5% ethylene glycol as a working fluid is proposed, with the aim of increasing the thermal efficiency of the concentrator. Both working fluids water and water- ethylene glycol were experimentally evaluated, in similar climatic conditions during the month of April with irradiance of 598.45 W/m2 and 603.09 W/m2 respectively, according to the results obtained, the H2O-C2H6O2 mixture managed to increase efficiency by 1.23%. Thermal compared to water.
