Abstract

Learning about the experiences of graduates from a professional program adds value to students' education while they pursue their degree; it can also guide them in making early decisions related to their professional future. One of these decisions may be to pursue a postgraduate degree. This article presents recommendations and experiences described by several Software Engineering graduates who pursued postgraduate studies. The graduates described aspects such as their reasons for continuing their studies, some of which were related to their professional or academic development, and others more closely related to personal issues. These experiences, expressed from diverse perspectives, are captured in this document, reflecting the experiences derived from postgraduate studies in academia and industry.
