Abstract
This article examines the connection between electricity, cardiovascular physiology, and mathematical modeling from a historical-scientific perspective. Starting with 18th-century literary and experimental contexts, it explores cardiac function as a dynamic system modeled through electrical analogies, focusing on the Windkessel model and its extension via fractional derivatives. It reviews the role of ventricular assist devices (LVADs) in heart failure patients and the technical challenges they face. Finally, it shows how physics, engineering, and advanced calculus together enable accurate representation of both normal physiology and various cardiac pathologies.
