Abstract

This paper presents a methodology and analysis of 24-hour cumulative rainfall depth, recorded at more than 5000 weather stations (EC), which are managed and operated by the National Meteorological Service of Mexico (SMN). The analysis focuses on the annual maximum values of this climatological variable. The results of this analysis are graphs that allows for a quick visualization of the spatial and temporal behaviour of the precipitation depth. The historical maximum rainfall depths are displayed on a nationwide map. Additionally, the data has been structured into detailed tables that include the maximum rainfall values and their ranges for each federal state.
