Los extractos herbales como una estratefia natural y ecológica en la acuacultura

Abstract
Recientemente el inter´es en el uso de extractos de plantas se ha incrementado debido a su accesibilidad y por los bajos efectos secundarios en el medio ambiente y en los propios organismos. Diversas investigaciones han demostrado que los extractos herbales tienen propiedades para combatir enfermedades causadas por virus, bacterias, hongos, par´asitos monog´eneos y protozoos, adem´as de poseer efectos anest´esicos y antiestresantes, as´ı como tambi´en estimuladores del crecimiento. En esta revisi´on se menciona la aplicaci´on de diversos extractos herbales en diferentes especies acu´aticas y sus efectos, destacando el uso de estos como una alternativa para mejorar la producci´on acu´ıcola.
