Abstract

The widespread use of smartphones equipped with technologically advanced features has led to the emergence of spatial crowdsourcing: a novel paradigm which is useful to solve problems requiring the presence of workers at specific locations. In this article we present both the paradigm and some of its applications. We also briefly describe two projects that are being developed on the subject at the Department of Electrical Engineering of UAM Iztapalapa.
