una propuesta integral para adultos mayores desde la UAM-I
Abstract
Population aging demands new strategies to promote comprehensive health in older adults. This article presents the results of the "55 y +"program implemented at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, Iztapalapa Unit (UAM-I), which focuses on promoting active aging through a multidisciplinary approach centered on physical exercise. For over 12 weeks, participants received different services such as health, nutritional, psychological care, and customized physical exercise. In order to obtein the results, in each generation the monitoring and assistance from these services were essential. Results demonstrate significant improvements in regards to strength, flexibility, balance, body composition, sleep quality, and social skills.
