Análisis general de un estudio de riesgo geodinámico (caso meteorológico, volcán Popocatépetl y Sierra Norte) en el estado de Puebla, México.
Abstract
This work addresses the analysis of natural hazards in the region of Puebla, Mexico, focusing on three key areas: The Puebla-Tlaxcala metropolitan area, the Popocatepetl volcano and the Sierra Norte de Puebla. For the metropolitan area, a collection and analysis of meteorological data from open access national information is carried out, using modeling and interpolation software to represent climatic variables in different periods by means of Surfer mapping. As for the volcano, its dynamics, geochemical composition and the types of earthquakes that indicate possible expulsions of material are studied, in order to understand its evolution and mitigate risks associated with an eruption using 4 types of software, the first one Google Earth Pro, GPS Visualizer, Erupt and Surfer. Finally, in the Sierra Norte, slope stability is evaluated through a geostatistical study that considers gravity acceleration, distances and slopes to identify geological structures with potential risk of collapse. The information obtained was processed to generate risk maps to facilitate disaster planning and prevention in this region.
